Going To The Chapel...
Yesterday, November 7th, 2006, my bestest friend got engaged!
That's right ladies and gentlemen, Kerri and Nathan are getting married!
Yesterday morning, me and Lindsay woke up to the smell of french toast. Kerri was at work and we knew Mr and Mrs Samson were at work and Kathleen was at school. So Lindsay came upstairs to find Nathan in the kitchen making french toast in the shape of hearts. We bugged him for awhile, discovered that he had worked it out so that Kerri wouldn't have to go back to work after her first shift (she was working a split shift), and then we hid ourselves away in the family room and watched Lost until Kerri got home. He had made her breakfast and set it all up with candles and romantic music and everything, and then he proposed. We just waited and pretended to watch TV until Kerri stuck her head in the door. She was bawling, in a good way. :) We hugged and hugged and cried/laughed and drooled over the ring. It's BEAUTIFUL. Absolutley beautiful.
And then she officially asked me to be one of her bridesmaids! Tee hee! :)
The rest of the day was spent driving around town to tell everyone. Me and Lindsay went along for the ride. We had to go to the high school, and the church and to the youth pastor's house... it was fun. :) Me, Lindsay, Kathleen, Nathan's sister and Kerri and Nathan went to Nando's for lunch and then home. And then for supper EVERYONE, as in all of the Samsons (me included...haha) and ALL of the Braunburgers, including his grandparents and aunt, went out for Thai food. It was amazing food and so much fun.
Kerri and her mom and Nathan had to go to youth group after supper and Linday and her dad went to her grandma's house for a bit so I was home by myself for a few hours but it was kind of nice. I just watched TV and talked to my aunt on the phone for a bit.
So that was it...The day Kerri got engaged! :)
